The unit works great. Powerful cooling capacity and it runs with relatively little noise. It was also a good buy, pricewise.
The major criticism is the duct work with the vent hose. Not the window installation, but the connector from the hose to the window, and the connector at the back of the unit. These connectors stink. Period. They need design improvement, definitely.
Otherwise, nice machine.
Good Purchase
In the plus column, this unit is quiet and effective in colling a small room. A room that is about 400 sq. ft.
Thumbs up for features like the remote control, easy mobility, and the timer feature.
Set up is straight forward.
Window installation kit is flaky, though, and you may want to find your own solution to securing the vent hose through a window.
This unit needs to be drained once in a while, and that means moving it outside or some place where it can be drained.
You probably want to run this unit on its own circuit.
The EER rating is only 8.0, so it's not as efficient as it might be.
The five-year warranty is a real plus.
Definitely a recommend.
