Reviews of Haier HPR09XC7 Portable Air Conditioner
Cooling declined, Appeared one of Fans was dead (Neil, 5/25/2011)
Cooling declined after 2 - 3 years; it appeared one of Fans was dead. I read reviews for several models to purchase a new unit and it occurred to me that even if this is a Self-evaporating unit, it still may need to be drained, and I discovered the air filter while draining the unit and cleaned it. Now it works like a champ and we do not have to spend $$$ buying another unit. The manual I found online does NOT state any needed maintenance.
Good for 6 Months (Anonymous, 8/19/2010)
Unit worked great for about 6 months then stopped cooling. Compressor and fan still kicks on but no more cooling.
Worked once (Anonymous, 7/24/2010)
It worked one night then stopped blowing cold air. The fan works well but a window fan could do just as well, if not better. This was given as a gift so no reciept, no repair, no exceptions.
The fan works (LB, 7/6/2010)
No cooling ability at all. It appears to dehumidify a bit, and the fan blows well. I've had it running all day in a 300 square foot room. Outdoor temp 32 C, indoor temp 31 C (about 90 F and 88 F).
