 Malfunctions
After two months, the unit began to malfunction. It freezes up and has to be thawed out.
Shipping it back for repair is expensive.
Not good.
 3 years and Not as Good
When the unit works, it's great.
After three years, the cool capacity is shrinking and I'm having other problems.
Cools as Expected
Down to basics, this unit cools. Doesn't seem to use much electricity and the casters make it easy to move.
It can be loud and it's heavy to move.
I like it
You should know that it includes a door adapter that can be used on large windows over 5 feet tall, which is a rare feature for ac units.
Not the De Longhi I'd recommend
Just doesn't live up to its hype. I'd recommend the PAC290 instead.
 What more can I say?
I use it on mildly hot days, and it works fine. I think it's attractive and easy to move around. I'd recommend it.
 Not good when air temp gets really hot
This is a waste of money. Does OK when the temp is low, but once it gets warm, it's basically useless. I had better luck with a smaller window air conditioner.
Nice
I cool a pretty large room with the PAC-260, about 400 s.f. with a higher ceiling. The trick is, to have cool air blowing on you, not so much to cool down the entire room.
To give you a sense of the noise it makes it's about as loud as a normal fan on high.
The manual is poorly written, not being an American brand. It has a replaceable 3M filter, but the only place I found to buy replacements if from DeLonghi themselves.
